Seat upholstery. Faux leather is the entry option. PPM and PPM-FR are polyurethane performance leathers; velvet, boucle and Camira Era are upholstery fabrics. Camira Blazer is a pure new wool, and full-grain leather is the top tier. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

Base finishes

The Pera Wire stool sets the sculpted Pera bucket seat on a solid steel wire base, at counter or bar height, for kitchen islands, cafés and office pantries that want a light, open look. The wire frame forms its own foot ring, keeps sight lines clear under the counter and stands on plastic glides set into the wire. Choose chrome, black, white, bone or gold plating to match your hardware or your brand palette. Under the slipcover the seat is a steel frame with S-shaped springs, molded in injected polyurethane foam, so it stays comfortable through long service.

Planning notes

• Choose Counter (24 in seat) for 35 to 37 in counters; choose Bar (29 in seat) for 40 to 42 in bar tops.
• The stool is 16 in wide, so allow about 22 to 24 in of counter per seat.
• Leave 10 to 12 in between the seat and the underside of the counter for knees.
• White and bone powder coats disappear in light kitchens; chrome and gold read dressier in hospitality rooms.
• Shipping: in-stock stools ship in 3 to 5 business days. If your seat and base combination is out of stock or on its way to our warehouse, please allow 10 to 15 weeks for it to ship.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.

Frequently asked questions

What seat heights are available?

The counter stool has a 24 in seat and the bar stool a 29 in seat. Overall heights are 32 in and 36.5 in.

Does the wire base have a footrest?

Yes. The lower ring of the solid steel wire frame doubles as a footrest on both heights.

Will the wire base mark my floor?

Each leg ends in a plastic glide set into the wire, so no bare metal touches the floor. Add felt pads on delicate hardwood if you like.

How much weight does it hold?

The Pera Wire is rated for 350 lb.

Why do the prices differ?

Faux leather seats cost the least; PPM, velvet, boucle and Camira Era fabric sit in the middle; Camira Blazer wool and full-grain leather cost the most. The gold-plated base carries an upcharge over chrome, black, white and bone.

Is the seat cover removable?

Yes. The cover is a slipcover closed with Velcro, so it can come off for cleaning or be replaced later.
