Seat upholstery. Faux leather is the entry option. PPM and PPM-FR are polyurethane performance leathers; velvet, boucle and Camira Era are upholstery fabrics. Camira Blazer is a pure new wool, and full-grain leather is the top tier. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

Base finishes

The Pera Piston puts the Pera seat on a gas-lift column that swivels and adjusts from counter to bar height with a lever, so one stool fits a kitchen island today and a bar top tomorrow. A curved half footrest wraps the front of the column, and a weighted 16.5 in round base, or a 17.7 in square base in brushed steel, keeps it steady on hard floors. Finish the base in polished or brushed stainless steel, black, polished gold or brushed gold. The seat itself is a sprung steel frame in injected foam, with a removable Velcro slipcover.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.
