Base finishes

The Patara Piston is the one Patara stool that adjusts: a gas piston raises and lowers the seat anywhere from 23 to 33 in with a lever, so a single stool works at a counter or a bar. It swivels on a heavy round base with a full-circle footrest, in polished or brushed stainless steel or black. That range makes it the safe choice when counter heights vary, or for households where kids and adults share the island. Above the column sits the sprung, foam-molded Patara seat with a removable zip-on cover.

• The round base sits flat; use it on hard floors or low-pile rugs.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.
