Seat upholstery. Faux leather is the entry option. PPM and PPM-FR are polyurethane performance leathers, Camira Era is a woven contract fabric and Camira Yoredale is a looped boucle. The top tier is Camira Blazer wool or caramel Italian leather. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

Base finishes

Nova Wood swaps the metal tube for a solid beech sled stained walnut, turning the Nova into a warm, Transitional armchair that looks at home beside a fireplace or in a paneled study. The squared wood frame follows the same lines as the metal Novas, running along the floor and rising to carry the seat, so the chair stays stable and slides easily on rugs. Grey Camira fabric on walnut-finish beech is the combination in our living-room photos. Like every Nova, the seat is sprung with S-shaped springs in molded foam and topped with a loose back cushion.

• Walnut-finish beech matches walnut and espresso casegoods; it will read darker than oak floors.
• Use felt pads on hardwood to protect both the floor and the wood runners.
• It is the highest-priced Nova base because the sled is solid wood.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Dust the wood with a dry cloth and avoid harsh cleaners. Wood, leather and fabric vary naturally in grain and shade from piece to piece.
