Base finishes

Martini Pyramid-MW gives the Martini bucket seat a swivel on a steel pyramid base: four angled metal legs, wrapped in wood veneer or finished in black, that meet under the seat. Because the legs are steel, the base is slimmer than a solid wood pyramid while still reading as wood in the walnut and natural versions. A metal ring circles the legs as a footrest, chrome on the veneer bases and brass on the black base. Every Martini Pyramid-MW Swivel Counter or Bar Stool is built on a steel seat frame with S-shaped springs set in molded polyurethane foam, with a removable Velcro-fastened slipcover.

Planning notes

• Choose Counter for 35 to 37 in counters. The bar seat is 27.5 in, a little lower than most bar stools, so it suits bar tops around 38 to 40 in.
• Allow about 26 in of counter per swiveling stool.
• Veneer is real wood over steel; wipe spills promptly and keep it out of standing water.
• The footrest ring is metal, so it will not wear the way a wood rung can.
• Shipping: in-stock stools ship in 3 to 5 business days. If your seat and base combination is out of stock or on its way to our warehouse, please allow 10 to 15 weeks for it to ship.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.
