Seat upholstery. Marin is stocked in two looped boucle fabrics, off white and medium grey. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

Marin is a statement sofa: 144 inches of gently curved boucle that bends toward the room and invites conversation instead of lining up against a wall. It comes in two two-seat sections that join into one sweeping arc, which also makes it easier to carry through doors and up elevators. Seat and back cushions are high-density foam, the seats add pocket springs, and the loose zippered cushions are wrapped in down and feather for a deep, soft sit. Placed in front of a window, across a large living room or in a hotel lobby, it gives a Modern or Organic Modern interior a sculptural centerpiece.

Where to use it

• Large living rooms and great rooms, floated in the space
• Hotel lobbies, lounges and event spaces
• Bay windows and curved walls
• Modern and Organic Modern interiors with soft, rounded forms

Planning notes

• The curve needs room: allow 144 in of width, 48 in of depth and walkway space behind if you float it.
• Each section ships in its own 74 x 59 in carton; check stair turns and door widths.
• A round or oval coffee table follows the curve better than a rectangle.
• Down and feather cushions settle with use; plump them regularly.
• Shipping: in-stock sofas ship in 3 to 5 business days. If your fabric is out of stock or on its way to our warehouse, please allow 10 to 15 weeks for it to ship. Large upholstery ships by freight; plan a clear path and doorways for delivery.

Who it is not for

• Small rooms or straight walls: see the 77 in Istanbul sofa
• Anyone who wants a firm, upright seat
• Outdoor use

Care

Vacuum fabric and boucle upholstery weekly with a soft brush attachment and blot spills right away with a clean, damp cloth; do not rub. Wipe PPM and leather with a soft, damp cloth and dry it. Turn and plump loose cushions regularly so they wear evenly, and keep the sofa out of strong direct sun, which fades fabric and dries leather. Dust metal legs with a dry cloth. Fabric and leather vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.

Frequently asked questions

How big is the Marin sofa?

It is 144 in wide, 48 in deep and 27.5 in high, with a 16 in seat.

Does it arrive in one piece?

No. It comes as two two-seat sections that join into the curved sofa, which makes delivery through doors easier.

What are the cushions filled with?

High-density foam with pocket springs in the seats, and loose zippered cushions filled with down and feather.

Can it go against a wall?

It can, but the curve leaves gaps at the center; it looks best floated in a room or set in a bay or curved wall.

Why do prices differ?

The boucle fabrics shown are the standard grade. Full-grain leather and Camira Blazer wool are a higher grade and cost more; ask us about special-order materials.

How heavy is it?

The two sections and legs ship at about 300 lb in total.
