Size and Color. White Carrara is an Italian white marble with soft grey veining; the black option is a dark Italian marble. Natural stone varies in veining and tone, so no two tops match, and screens show color slightly differently than real life.

These natural marble tops give a sohoConcept pedestal table a cool, heavy surface that suits cafes, kitchens and living rooms alike. White Carrara comes in seven round sizes from an 18.9 in side table to a 40 in dining top, plus a 28 in square and a 24 x 30 in rectangle for two-tops against a banquette; black marble comes in 28 and 36 in rounds. Each slab is 0.8 in thick, sealed and polished to resist stains, and its weight helps a single-post table sit steady. Pair it with a Tango, Daisy or Diana base in the height you need.

Care

Wipe with a soft cloth and warm water, then dry. Blot spills straight away, especially wine, citrus, coffee and oil, which can etch or stain marble. Use coasters and a pH-neutral stone cleaner; skip vinegar, bleach and abrasive powders. Resealing once or twice a year keeps the stain protection working. Natural stone varies in veining and tone from top to top.

Frequently asked questions

Is it real marble?

Yes. The tops are natural Italian marble, white Carrara or black, sealed and polished. Each slab has its own veining.

What size do I need?

Use 18.9 or 21.5 in for side and end tables, 28 to 32 in for two people and 36 to 40 in for three or four. The square and rectangle tops suit two-tops against a wall or banquette.

Which bases fit?

The tops fit the Tango, Daisy and Diana bases; the 28 in round and the 28 in square also fit the Lamer base.

Will marble stain?

The tops are sealed, but marble is a natural stone and acidic spills such as wine and citrus can etch it. Wipe spills quickly and reseal from time to time.

Why do the prices differ?

Price rises with size. At 28 and 36 in, black marble costs less than white Carrara. The square and rectangle tops cost the same as the 28 in round.

How thick is the top?

All marble tops are 0.8 in (2 cm) thick.
