Seat upholstery. Istanbul is stocked in PPM and PPM-FR, polyurethane performance leathers (PPM-FR adds a fire-retardant treatment), and in Camira Blazer, a pure new wool contract fabric. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

Base finish

Istanbul is the apartment-sized sofa of the collection: 77 inches wide and 36 deep, it fits a condo living room, a studio or a small waiting area without crowding the floor. The body sits on a continuous tubular stainless steel base in a polished finish, tipped with plastic glides so it slides without marking hard floors. A solid hardwood frame carries loose, foam-filled cushions, and the wool versions use a removable, Velcro-enclosed cover while PPM covers are fixed. Clean lines and a slim arm keep it Modern and easy to pair, and the same profile comes as a matching Istanbul armchair.

Planning notes

• Plastic glides protect hard floors; add felt pads on delicate wood if you move it often.
• Choose PPM-FR where a fire-retardant upholstery is preferred for commercial spaces.
• Camira Blazer wool covers are removable for cleaning; PPM covers are fixed.
• Shipping: in-stock sofas ship in 3 to 5 business days. If your fabric and layout combination is out of stock or on its way to our warehouse, please allow 10 to 15 weeks for it to ship. Large upholstery ships by freight; plan a clear path and doorways for delivery.

Who it is not for

• Anyone who wants a deep, sink-in lounge sofa: see Bleecker or Marin
• Large families who need a sectional: see Nirvana or Simena
• Outdoor use

Care

Vacuum fabric and boucle upholstery weekly with a soft brush attachment and blot spills right away with a clean, damp cloth; do not rub. Wipe PPM and leather with a soft, damp cloth and dry it. Turn and plump loose cushions regularly so they wear evenly, and keep the sofa out of strong direct sun, which fades fabric and dries leather. Dust metal legs with a dry cloth. Fabric and leather vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.
