Leg finishes

The Harput Pyramid-MW arm stool lifts the full Harput armchair, arms and all, to counter or bar height on a swiveling pyramid of four splayed steel legs. It is the most comfortable way to sit at a high counter for a long time: a sprung, foam-molded seat, a real back and arms to lean on. A ring footrest ties the legs together, chrome on the walnut and natural veneer versions and brass on the black. Use it at kitchen islands where people linger, and at hotel and restaurant bars that want lounge comfort.

Planning notes

• Counter seat is 25 in for 36 to 37 in counters; bar seat is 29.5 in for 41 to 42 in bar tops.
• At 22.5 in wide with arms, allow about 28 in of counter per stool.
• Check that the arms (34 in counter, 37 in bar) clear the underside of your counter if you want stools to tuck in.
• The swivel makes getting in and out easy despite the arms.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.

No. They are steel wrapped in walnut or natural wood veneer, or finished black.
