Seat upholstery. Faux leather is the entry option. PPM is a polyurethane performance leather, PPM-FR is its flame-retardant version, nubuck is a soft brushed finish, and the off-white and blue Camira Yoredale seats are boucle weaves. Camira Era is a woven contract fabric, Camira Blazer is a wool contract fabric, and the caramel seat is full-grain Italian leather. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

Base finishes

The Gazel Arm Cat-Wire stool is the most affordable way into the armed Gazel seat: the shell with arms sits on a four-leg frame drawn in solid steel rod, with a square foot rail between the legs. The open, see-through frame keeps a long bar or island from looking crowded even with arms on every stool. Chrome, black powder coat or brass finishes are offered, with plastic glides set into the feet. Both heights run tall, a 28 in counter seat and a 31 in bar seat, and the seat is a sprung steel frame molded in foam under a removable slipcover.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.

Why is the counter seat 28 in?

This frame is taller than a typical counter stool, so it pairs with counters of about 38 to 40 in. For a standard 36 in counter choose a lower seat such as the Gazel Arm Ana.

Will the arms fit under my counter?

The arms are 33 in high on the counter stool and 36 in on the bar stool, so they will usually sit at or just below the counter edge.

What finishes are offered?
