Seat upholstery. The Falcon seat comes in five PPM-S colors (a silicone-finish performance leatherette) or two Camira Blazer wool fabrics. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

Falcon Baba gives the Falcon shell four thick, tapered legs of solid wood, a sturdier, more grounded look than the brand's metal stools. Teak in a near-black wenge finish anchors a dark kitchen or a moody bar; sungkai in a pale white-oak finish suits Scandinavian and Japandi rooms. Stretchers between the legs act as the footrest. Add the memory swivel and the seat turns for easy entry, then returns to face the counter when you stand up, which keeps a row of stools tidy.

Planning notes

• The bar seat is 29 in high (30 in with the memory swivel), for 40 to 42 in bar tops.
• The counter version is about 2 in lower than a standard counter stool; it suits counters around 34 to 36 in.

• Wood stretchers take the wear of shoes; expect light marks over time on the wenge finish.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Dust the wood with a dry cloth and avoid harsh cleaners. Wood, leather and fabric vary naturally in grain and shade from piece to piece.
