Seat upholstery. Faux leather is the entry option. PPM, PPM-S and PPM-FR are polyurethane performance leathers that wipe clean; the beige boucle is a soft looped fabric. Camira Blazer is a contract-grade wool, and genuine leather is the top tier. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

Base finishes

The Eiffel MW combines materials: four angled steel legs, either bare or wrapped in natural or walnut wood veneer, are braced underneath by thin metal wires that meet at the center. The result is a chair that looks warm like wood but is as stiff as metal, which suits busy dining rooms and restaurants with a Mid-Century or Scandinavian look. Order it fixed, or add the memory swivel mechanism so the seat turns and then returns to face the table; the mechanism raises the seat by about 1 in. The seat is the sprung Eiffel shell with molded foam and a removable slipcover.

Planning notes

• Fixed, the 17 in seat suits 29 to 30 in tables; with the memory swivel it rises to about 18 in, so check clearance under a low apron.
• Allow about 24 in of table edge per chair.
• Veneer legs are steel underneath, so they are stiffer than solid wood legs of the same size.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.
