Base finishes

The Eiffel 4 Star puts the Eiffel shell on a low, four-prong star base with a memory swivel: turn to get up or to talk, and the seat returns to face the table when you stand. That automatic return keeps a dining room, conference table or restaurant floor looking orderly without anyone straightening chairs. The base is offered in chrome, black, white, gold or brass, and its wide footprint keeps the chair steady when someone leans back. The shell itself is built on a steel frame with S-shaped springs and molded foam under a removable slipcover.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.
