Base finishes

The Dervish Wire armchair floats the rounded Dervish seat over a base of solid steel wire bent into an open, sled-like frame. It is the most graphic and the most affordable way to buy the Dervish at dining height, and the six finishes let it play neutral in chrome, black or white, or bold in red or gold. The open frame keeps sightlines clear in small dining rooms and cafes, and the runners spread the load on hard floors. Under the cover sits a steel seat frame with S-shaped springs molded in polyurethane foam.

• The wire runners rest flat on the floor, which is kind to hard surfaces but can catch the edge of a thick rug.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.
