Seat upholstery. Faux leather is the entry option. PPM is a polyurethane performance leather, and the Camira Era, Yoredale boucle and Blazer wool are woven contract fabrics. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

Base finishes

The Dervish 4 Star armchair rides on a four-spoke steel base with a memory swivel, so the seat turns freely and then returns to face the table when you stand up. That self-aligning action keeps conference rooms, dining rooms and restaurant rows looking orderly without anyone straightening chairs. The low cross base spans about 24 in for a stable footprint without casters, and it comes in chrome, black or white, or gold and brass for a warmer accent. Under the slipcover, S-shaped springs on a steel frame and molded foam keep the seat comfortable through long meetings.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.

Frequently asked questions

What is a memory swivel?

The seat turns freely while you sit and returns to its original position when you stand, so a row of chairs lines up again on its own.

How wide is the base?

The four-star base spans 24.4 in (62 cm).

Does it roll?

No. The 4 Star base has fixed feet. If you want casters, the Dervish Spider armchair has a caster option.

Why do the prices differ?

Faux leather seats are the lowest price, PPM, Camira Era and Yoredale boucle the middle, and Camira Blazer wool the highest. Gold and brass bases cost extra over chrome, black and white.

How much weight does it hold?

It is rated for 350 lb.

Is it suitable for an office?

Yes. The memory swivel and pedestal base make it a good meeting or guest chair, though it has no height adjustment or tilt.
