Seat upholstery. Faux leather is the entry option. PPM and the flame-retardant PPM-FR are polyurethane performance leathers. Camira Era is a woven contract fabric, and Camira Blazer and Zap are wool upholstery fabrics. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

Base finishes

Dallas Wire sets the low, square-backed Dallas seat on a solid steel wire sled base whose rear frame rises into a handle behind the backrest, so you can lift and pull the stool without touching the upholstery. The sled runners spread the load and slide easily on hard floors, and a wire rung gives a footrest at the front. The seat is built on a steel frame with S-shaped springs under molded polyurethane foam, with a removable Velcro-fastened slipcover. Choose chrome or black wire and any of 19 seat colors, from faux leather to Camira Blazer wool.

Planning notes

• The counter stool's 25.5 in seat suits 36 to 38 in counters; the bar stool's 31 in seat suits 42 to 44 in bar tops, so measure before you choose.
• Allow about 22 to 24 in of counter per stool; the base is 17.5 in wide.
• The rear handle sticks out slightly behind the back, so leave walkway room behind the row.
• Sled runners suit tile, stone and concrete; add felt pads on soft wood.
• Shipping: in-stock stools ship in 3 to 5 business days. If your seat and base combination is out of stock or on its way to our warehouse, please allow 10 to 15 weeks for it to ship.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.

The wire frame continues up behind the backrest and forms a handle, so you can pull the stool out without grabbing the upholstery.
