Base finishes

Daisy is a five-prong star base in solid steel that turns a single post and top into a stable pedestal table. Its flat blades spread to a wide footprint, so it steadies large round tops without the bulk of a solid disc and leaves the center open for feet. Each prong ends in an adjustable foot cap, which lets you level the table on tile, stone or older wood floors where a disc base would rock. Use it with a Tango / Daisy post at dining, counter or bar height; the gold and gold brass finishes give a dining room a Mid-Century or glam note, while chrome and black suit Modern restaurants.

Care

Wipe the base with a soft, dry or lightly damp cloth and dry it straight away. Polished and plated finishes show fingerprints, so a microfiber cloth works best. Skip abrasive pads, scouring powders and solvent cleaners, which scratch stainless steel and dull plated, powder-coated and gold finishes. Check the bolts that join the post, base and top every few months, more often in busy restaurants.
