Seat upholstery. PPM is a polyurethane performance leather with a soft, leather-like hand. The gold velvet is a plush pile fabric. Camira Era is a woven contract fabric, and Camira Blazer is a pure new wool contract fabric in deeper, richer colors. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

Base finishes

The Crescent Piston with half footrest pairs the Crescent seat with a lever-operated gas lift and a swivel, so each person can set the seat anywhere from 22 to 31 in and turn freely. A curved half-ring footrest wraps the front of the column, giving feet a generous rest without the bulk of a full ring. It offers the widest choice of finishes in the piston range: polished or brushed stainless, black, polished gold or brushed brass on a round base, or brushed stainless on a square base. The sprung, foam-molded seat has a zippered slipcover.

Planning notes

• Set the seat around 24 in for 35 to 37 in counters and around 29 to 30 in for 40 to 42 in bar tops.
• The round base is 16.5 in across and the square base 17.7 in; allow about 26 in of counter edge per stool.
• Brushed finishes hide fingerprints better than polished ones in busy spaces.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.

The gas piston moves the seat from 22 in to 31 in, so one stool covers both counter (35 to 37 in) and bar (40 to 42 in) tops.

What is a half footrest?

A curved footrest that wraps around the front half of the column, so your feet have a wide rest but the back stays open.

Which bases are available?

Round bases in polished stainless, brushed stainless, black, polished gold or brushed gold (brass), and a square base in brushed stainless.
