Base finishes

Here the large Crescent shell, with its crescent-shaped back and open gap above the seat, swivels on a four-spoke star base for a lighter, more architectural stance than the solid disc. The four arms spread the footprint to about 24 in, which keeps the low 12 in seat steady when you lean back or turn, so it suits reception areas, lounges, dens and dorm or kids' rooms. Choose brushed stainless steel or matt brushed nickel; the matt nickel star adds a few degrees of tilt for a gentle rocking feel. The seat is a sprung steel frame in injected polyurethane foam with a zippered green faux leather slipcover.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.
