Seat upholstery. Faux leather is the entry option. PPM-FR is a flame-retardant polyurethane leather, nubuck and boucle are soft-hand fabrics, and Camira Era and Camira Blazer wool are woven contract fabrics. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

Base finishes

The Corona Wire Full Upholstery stool wraps the curved Corona seat and back completely in cover material and sets it on a solid steel wire sled base. Each side of the base is a bent wire runner that meets the floor along its length, so the stool slides out from an island without catching on tile grout, and a wire crossbar between the sides serves as the footrest. At 20 in wide it is the roomiest seat in the Corona line, and the open wire frame keeps it visually light in a row of four or five. Six base finishes, from chrome and gold to bone, white and red powder coat, let it lean Modern, Retro or Industrial.

Planning notes

• Counter height suits 35 to 37 in counters; bar height suits 40 to 42 in bar tops.
• The 20 in wide seat needs about 26 in of counter edge per stool.
• Sled runners have plastic glides set into the wire, which is kind to tile and sealed concrete; add felt glides for soft wood floors.
• Pick red, white or bone when you want the base itself to carry the color.
• Shipping: in-stock stools ship in 3 to 5 business days. If your seat and base combination is out of stock or on its way to our warehouse, please allow 10 to 15 weeks for it to ship.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.

Frequently asked questions

Counter or bar height?

The counter version has a 24.5 in seat for 35 to 37 in counters. The bar version has a 29.5 in seat for 40 to 42 in bar tops.

Is this wider than other Corona stools?

Yes. The Wire full upholstery stool is 20 in wide and 20 in deep, wider than the 15 to 16 in Corona stools on legs.

Will the sled base scratch my floor?

Each runner has plastic glides set into the wire. On soft wood floors we suggest adding felt pads as well.

How much weight does it hold?

It is rated for 230 lb.

Why do the prices differ?

Faux leather, PPM-FR, nubuck, boucle and Camira Era seats share the lower price, and Camira Blazer wool costs more. The gold-plated base carries a surcharge; the five other finishes do not.

Can I use my own fabric?

Yes. It takes 1.6 yd of fabric or 28 sq ft of leather. Contact us for customer-own-material orders.
