Seat upholstery. Faux leather and PPM-FR are wipeable polyurethane leathers, smoke grey nubuck is a soft brushed fabric, and Camira Blazer is a pure-wool contract fabric. The back shell is American walnut plywood on every color. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

Base finishes

The Corona Wire Comfort stool shows off two materials at once: a padded, channel-stitched Comfort cushion on the front and an American walnut plywood shell on the back, all carried on a solid wire sled base. Seen from the room side of an island, the walnut back gives warmth; seen from the seat, it is a soft upholstered stool. Bent wire runners slide easily on hard floors and a wire crossbar gives a footrest. Five base finishes, including bone, white and gold, make it easy to land a Modern, Scandinavian or glam look.

Planning notes

• Counter version: 24 in seat for 35 to 37 in counters. Bar version: 29 in seat for 40 to 42 in bar tops.
• White and bone bases look best against pale floors; chrome and black hide scuffs better in busy rooms.
• Plan about 21 in of counter per stool.
• Gold is the surcharge finish.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.

Counter or bar height?

The counter version has a 24 in seat for 35 to 37 in counters. The bar version has a 29 in seat for 40 to 42 in bar tops.

What does the back of the stool look like?

The outer back is an American walnut plywood shell; the cushion covers the seat and the inner face of the back.

Will the base mark my floor?

The wire runners have plastic glides set into them. Add felt pads on soft wood floors.

How much weight does it hold?

It is rated for 200 lb.

Why do the prices differ?

Faux leather, PPM-FR and nubuck seats share the lower price; Camira Blazer wool costs more. The gold-plated base carries a surcharge.

Can I use my own fabric?

Yes. It takes 0.8 yd of fabric or 14 sq ft of leather. Contact us for customer-own-material orders.
