Seat. Every Cattelan seat is carved from one solid hardwood: antique-brushed ash, sungkai, mindi in a wenge finish, teak in a walnut finish, or American walnut, which costs a little more. Grain and tone vary from seat to seat, and screens show wood slightly differently than real life.

Base finishes

This Cattelan Piston uses a T-shaped footrest: a steel bar that reaches forward from the gas-lift column and ends in a curved rest wide enough for both feet, which keeps the base visually light. Lift the lever under the carved solid wood seat to set it anywhere from 20.5 to 31 in, and swivel to get in and out. The base comes in polished or brushed stainless steel on a round plate, or polished steel on a square plate. It is a promotional model, sold while warehouse stock lasts, and a cost-effective way to seat a long counter.

• Bars and cafés with mixed counter heights
• Modern and Industrial interiors with stainless appliances

Planning notes

• One stool adjusts from 20.5 to 31 in, so it suits counters and bars alike.
• The T-footrest reaches forward from the column, so guests rest their feet at the front.
• Allow about 20 in of counter per stool; the flat base keeps rows tight.
• Stock is limited on this promotional model, so order matching sets together.
• Shipping: in-stock stools ship in 3 to 5 business days. If your seat and base combination is out of stock or on its way to our warehouse, please allow 10 to 15 weeks for it to ship.

Who it is not for

• Anyone who wants a warm metal finish like gold or black: see the Cattelan Piston with half footrest
• Rooms that call for a fixed wood-leg stool: see Cattelan PR Wood
• Outdoor use

Care

Dust the solid wood seat with a soft, dry cloth and wipe spills right away with a barely damp cloth, then dry. Avoid soaking the wood, harsh cleaners and abrasive pads. Wipe the base with a soft, dry cloth. Each seat is cut from solid wood, so grain and color vary naturally from stool to stool.

Frequently asked questions

What is a T-footrest?

It is a steel bar that extends forward from the piston column and ends in a curved crosspiece, forming a T, so both feet have a firm place to rest.

How high does the seat go?

The seat adjusts from 20.5 to 31 in with the gas piston lever.

How much weight does it hold?

The Cattelan Piston T-footrest stool is rated for 300 lb.

Round or square base?

Both are offered: polished or brushed stainless steel on a round base, or polished stainless steel on a square base.

Why might two stools cost differently?

All three bases share one price. Only the solid American walnut seat adds a small upcharge over ash, sungkai, mindi and teak.

Is this model always in stock?

It is a promotional item limited to warehouse stock, so in-stock combinations ship quickly while they last.

Please note: Because this item is made to order or specially sourced, it is final sale.
