Base finishes

The Bosphorus base is a pair of steel U-shaped sleigh legs that carries the long Bosphorus wood tops, turning them into a 29.5 in high dining or conference table. Set at each end of the top, the closed U frames leave the long sides free of legs, so chairs slide in all the way along and the table seats more people than a four-leg design of the same length. Chrome suits Modern and glam dining rooms; black powder coat gives a graphic, Industrial edge against walnut, wenge or white lacquer. The legs are made in Türkiye.

Planning notes

• Order a Bosphorus wood top in 71, 79 or 94 in to complete the table.
• With legs only at the ends, plan about 24 in of edge per chair along each long side.
• Leave at least 36 in between the table edge and the wall for chairs to pull out.
• The Bosphorus table ships in two boxes: top and legs.
• Shipping: in-stock table bases ship in 3 to 5 business days. If the size and finish you choose is out of stock or on its way to our warehouse, please allow 10 to 15 weeks for it to ship.

Care

Wipe the legs with a soft, dry or lightly damp cloth and dry them straight away. Skip abrasive pads and solvent cleaners, which scratch chrome and dull powder coat. Use felt pads under the leg rails on wood floors, and check the bolts to the top every few months.
