The Belek is a chunky round pouf: a foam drum wrapped in hand-knitted natural seagrass rope, lifted off the floor on four short solid teak legs. At 20 in high and 18 in across it is the right size for an extra seat, a footrest in front of an armchair, or a side table for a tray and a lamp. The legs keep the weave clear of damp floors and make it easy to slide around. Its texture adds a relaxed, Bohemian or coastal note to living rooms, bedrooms and covered porches.

Care

Vacuum the seagrass weave with a brush attachment and blot spills straight away with a dry cloth; do not soak it. Natural seagrass may vary slightly in tone and can fade in strong sun. Wipe the teak legs with a dry cloth. Under cover outdoors is fine, but bring it inside before rain.
