Seat upholstery. The Barclay stool seat is black PPM-S, a polyurethane performance leather with a 5-year guarantee that shrugs off spills at the counter. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

Frame finishes

The Barclay stool lifts the curved-rail Barclay chair to counter or bar height: the solid ash back rail wraps the seat like a low arm, so you can turn and lean while still feeling held. Long splayed legs are joined by stretchers, with a front rail positioned as a footrest. The padded seat is black PPM-S, and the ash frame is finished in walnut or black. It is a fixed stool that ships assembled, one per box, for islands, home bars and restaurant counters.

Planning notes

• Choose Counter (25 in seat) for 35 to 37 in counters; choose Bar (29 in seat) for 40 to 42 in bar tops.
• At 17.5 in wide, plan about 22 to 24 in of counter per stool.
• Leave 10 to 12 in between the seat and the underside of the counter.
• The low wraparound rail lets the stool slide partly under an overhang.
• Shipping: in-stock stools ship in 3 to 5 business days. If your seat and frame combination is out of stock or on its way to our warehouse, please allow 10 to 15 weeks for it to ship.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Dust the wood with a dry cloth and avoid harsh cleaners. Wood, leather and fabric vary naturally in grain and shade from piece to piece.
