Seat upholstery. Faux leather is the entry option. PPM-FR, S-PPM and PPM are polyurethane performance leathers that wipe clean; the off-white boucle is a soft looped fabric; Camira Era and Camira Blazer wool are woven contract fabrics. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.
Leg finishes
The Avanos Pyramid Wood stool brings the pyramid swivel base up to island height: four solid wood legs lean in to a swivel plate under the seat, circled by a metal footrest ring. It is the stool to choose when you want both the warmth of real wood and a seat that turns, ideal where people sit around a corner of the island. Walnut-finish beech and natural ash come with a chrome footrest; solid American walnut is offered with a white mechanism and chrome footrest, or a black mechanism and gold footrest. The upholstered fiberglass shell sits on a padded plywood seat, rated for 300 lb.

Planning notes

Care
Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Dust the wood with a dry cloth and avoid harsh cleaners. Wood, leather and fabric vary naturally in grain and shade from piece to piece.

Does it swivel?
Yes. The four wood legs meet at a swivel plate, so the seat turns a full circle.
Counter or bar height?
The counter stool has a 24.5 in seat for 35 to 37 in counters; the bar stool has a 29.5 in seat for 40 to 42 in bar tops.
What is the mechanism option on the walnut version?
With American walnut legs you can choose a white swivel mechanism with a chrome footrest, or a black mechanism with a gold footrest.
Is the footrest wood?
No. The footrest is a metal ring, chrome or gold, so it will not wear the way a wooden rung can.
Why do the prices differ?
Faux leather seats cost least, PPM, S-PPM, PPM-FR, boucle and Camira Era a little more, and Camira Blazer wool the most. Solid American walnut costs more than beech or ash; both heights cost the same.
