Leg finishes

The Avanos Plywood rests the upholstered shell on a base of bent plywood, wide flat legs that curve out from under the seat in the spirit of Scandinavian Modern furniture. Laminated plywood is strong for its weight and shows its layered edge, so the base looks crafted rather than turned. Choose a natural finish for light rooms, wenge for contrast, or American walnut veneer for a richer Mid-Century tone. It is one of the more affordable wood-based Avanos chairs, rated for 300 lb.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Dust the wood with a dry cloth and avoid harsh cleaners. Wood, leather and fabric vary naturally in grain and shade from piece to piece.
