Leg finishes

The Avanos Carrot gets its name from the base: a solid, tapered metal hub under the seat that splits into four tubular legs, like a carrot top turned upside down. The hub holds the swivel, so the seat turns smoothly while the legs keep a wide, stable stance. Two two-tone finishes are offered, black legs with a brass hub or walnut legs with a polished stainless steel hub, each made to show off that turned metal detail. The 17 in seat sits a little lower than most Avanos chairs, which suits lower tables and lounge-style dining.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.
