Seat upholstery. Faux leather is the entry option. PPM-FR, S-PPM and PPM are polyurethane performance leathers that wipe clean; the off-white boucle is a soft looped fabric; Camira Era and Camira Blazer wool are woven contract fabrics. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

The Avanos Baba Wood stool stands on four sturdy, slightly splayed solid wood legs, joined low by a ring of wooden rungs that keeps feet off the floor. It comes in two contrasting woods: teak in a deep black wenge finish for a graphic, Modern look, or pale sungkai in a white oak finish for Scandinavian and coastal kitchens. Add the memory swivel and the seat turns as you slide in and out, then returns to square with the counter; it lifts the seat by about an inch. The upholstered fiberglass shell on a padded plywood seat holds 300 lb.

Frequently asked questions

Counter or bar height?

The counter stool has a 25 in seat for 36 to 37 in counters; the bar stool has a 30.5 in seat for 41 to 42 in bar tops.

What does the memory swivel do?

It lets the seat turn while you sit and then returns it to face the counter when you stand. It raises the seat by about 1 in.

What woods are offered?

Solid teak with a black wenge finish, or solid sungkai with a white oak finish.

Is there a footrest?

Yes. Wooden rungs join the legs low down and act as the footrest.

Why do the prices differ?

Faux leather seats cost least, PPM, S-PPM, PPM-FR, boucle and Camira Era a little more, and Camira Blazer wool the most. The memory swivel adds a little; both woods and both heights cost the same.

How much weight does it hold?

It is rated for 300 lb.
