Leg finishes

The Avanos Ana stool raises the rounded Avanos shell to counter or bar height on four slim steel legs, with a metal ring that braces the legs and gives your feet a proper footrest. Because the shell wraps around your back and sides, it feels more like a chair than a perch, the reason it works for long dinners at a kitchen island. Choose walnut-veneered legs with a chrome ring, or black legs with a brass or chrome ring. It matches the Avanos Ana dining chair, so island and table can share one look.

Planning notes

• Choose Counter for 35 to 37 in counters; choose Bar for 40 to 42 in bar tops.
• Allow about 24 in of counter edge per stool; the stool is 21 in wide.
• Leave 10 to 12 in between the seat and the underside of the counter.
• Pair it with the Avanos Ana dining chair for a matching table.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.

Counter or bar height?

The counter stool has a 24 in seat for 35 to 37 in counters. The bar stool has a 29.5 in seat for 40 to 42 in bar tops.

Does it have a footrest?

Yes. A metal ring joins the four legs and serves as the footrest, in chrome or brass.

Does it swivel?

No. The Ana stool is fixed. For a swivel, see the Avanos Pyramid or Pyramid-MW stools.

How much weight does it hold?

It is rated for 300 lb.

Why do the prices differ?

The price is the same for counter and bar height and for all three bases. Faux leather seats cost least, PPM, S-PPM, PPM-FR, boucle and Camira Era a little more, and Camira Blazer wool the most.
