Seat upholstery. Faux leather is the entry option. PPM, PPM-FR and PPM-S are polyurethane performance leathers, the black boucle is a looped, textured fabric, and Camira Blazer is a woven wool contract fabric. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

Leg finishes

The Athena Baba is the all-wood stool in the Athena family: the curved armchair shell set on a solid wood stool base, so the whole piece reads warm and furniture-like rather than metal. It suits kitchens where the island is treated as a dining table and people linger. Two woods are offered: teak in a deep black wenge finish, or sungkai, a pale tropical hardwood, in a white oak finish for Scandinavian and Japandi rooms. Springs and a steel frame, sealed in molded foam, give the seat the same support as the Athena dining chairs.

• Allow about 26 in of counter edge per stool.
• Leave 10 to 12 in between the seat and the counter underside.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Dust the wood with a dry cloth and avoid harsh cleaners. Wood, leather and fabric vary naturally in grain and shade from piece to piece.
