Seat upholstery. Faux leather is the entry option. PPM-FR is a flame-retardant polyurethane performance leather, velvet and boucle are soft, textured fabrics, and Camira Blazer is a wool contract fabric. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

Leg finishes

The Amed+ Wood sets the wide Amed+ seat on four tapered solid wood legs, the warmest way to dress this chair for a home dining room or a restaurant with timber tables. Choose solid beech in a walnut, wenge or natural finish, sandblasted ash in black that shows the open grain, or solid American walnut. The seat shell is a sprung steel frame molded into polyurethane foam, upholstered with a slipcover that comes off with Velcro. Without stretchers it keeps a clean, open leg line; for heavier restaurant duty the Amed+ Wood Stretchers adds side rails.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Dust the wood with a dry cloth and avoid harsh cleaners. Wood, leather and fabric vary naturally in grain and shade from piece to piece.

Frequently asked questions

Are the legs solid wood?

Yes. They are solid beech, solid ash or solid American walnut, not veneer.

What is the difference between walnut-finish beech and American walnut?

Walnut-finish beech is beech stained to a walnut tone. Solid American walnut is the real wood, with its own grain and color variation, and costs more.

Is it strong enough for a restaurant?

It is rated for 350 lb. sohoConcept recommends stretchers for commercial floors, so for restaurants we suggest the Amed+ Wood Stretchers, rated for 400 lb.

Will it fit at my table?

The 18 in seat suits standard 29 to 30 in tables. At 20 in wide, plan about 26 in of table edge per chair.

Why do the prices differ?

Upholstery sets three tiers, with faux leather the lowest and Camira Blazer wool the highest. Solid American walnut legs add a surcharge; the beech and ash finishes do not.

How do I care for the wood?

Dust with a dry cloth and avoid harsh cleaners. Solid wood varies naturally in grain and shade.
