Seat upholstery. Faux leather is the entry option. PPM-FR is a flame-retardant polyurethane performance leather, velvet and boucle are soft, textured fabrics, and Camira Blazer is a wool contract fabric. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

Leg finishes

The Amed+ Wood stool lifts the roomy Amed+ seat to counter or bar height on four solid wood legs joined by a footrest, a comfortable perch for long breakfasts at an island or a full evening at a bar. The beech and American walnut frames carry a chrome footrest; the black sandblasted ash frame swaps it for brass, a striking pairing with dark stone and brass taps. The seat is 20 in wide with an 18 in depth, sprung inside and finished with a removable Velcro slipcover. It is rated for 400 lb at either height.

Planning notes

• Counter (24 in seat) suits 35 to 37 in counters; Bar (29 in seat) suits 40 to 42 in bar tops.
• Allow 26 to 28 in of counter per stool; the seat is 20 in wide.
• Keep 10 to 12 in between the seat and the underside of the counter.
• The black ash and brass version works well where the bar has brass rails or hardware.
• Shipping: in-stock stools ship in 3 to 5 business days. If your seat and leg combination is out of stock or on its way to our warehouse, please allow 10 to 15 weeks for it to ship.

Who it is not for

• Anyone who needs a swivel or height adjustment
• Tight islands with less than 26 in per stool: the narrower Aria Wood stool is a better fit

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Dust the wood with a dry cloth and avoid harsh cleaners. Wood, leather and fabric vary naturally in grain and shade from piece to piece.

Counter or bar height: which do I need?

Measure your counter. For 35 to 37 in counters choose Counter (24 in seat); for 40 to 42 in bar tops choose Bar (29 in seat).

Does it have a footrest?

Yes. Beech and American walnut frames have a chrome footrest; the black sandblasted ash frame has a brass one.

How wide is the seat?

20 in wide and 18 in deep, larger than the standard Amed stool.

How much weight is it rated for?

400 lb at both counter and bar height.

Why do the prices differ?

Faux leather is the entry seat, PPM-FR, velvet and boucle are the middle tier, and Camira Blazer wool is the top tier. Solid American walnut legs add a surcharge; the other wood finishes do not.

Do counter and bar stools cost the same?

Yes. Both heights are the same price for the same seat and leg finish.
