Seat upholstery. Faux leather is the entry option. PPM-FR is a flame-retardant polyurethane performance leather, velvet and boucle are soft, textured fabrics, and Camira Blazer is a wool contract fabric. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

Base finishes

The Amed+ Sled is the larger Amed+ seat, 20 in wide with an 18 in deep cushion, set on a continuous steel sled that runs the length of each side. Because the runners spread the load along the floor, the chair slides out from a table without catching and sits steadily on area rugs and carpet tiles. Inside the shell, a steel frame with S-shaped springs is molded into injected polyurethane foam, and the upholstery is a Velcro-fastened slipcover you can take off. Pick the sled in chrome, black, brushed solid stainless steel or gold brass to match the table and lighting.

- Counter or bar heights: see the Amed+ Metal or Amed+ Wood stools
- Outdoor use
Care
Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.

Frequently asked questions
How is the Amed+ different from the Amed?
The Amed+ seat is bigger: 20 in wide with an 18 in deep seat, compared with 17 in and 16 in on the Amed. It suits larger frames and longer meals.
Is a sled base good on rugs?
Yes. The two continuous runners slide over rugs and carpet instead of catching on them, and they spread the chair's weight so it does not sink in.
How much weight does it hold?
The Amed+ Sled is rated for 350 lb.
Which sled finish wears best?
Solid brushed stainless steel resists scratches and hides fingerprints best, which suits restaurants. Chrome and gold brass are plated finishes with a brighter look.
Why do the prices differ?
Faux leather is the lowest-priced seat, PPM-FR, velvet and boucle sit in the middle, and Camira Blazer wool is the top tier. The brushed stainless steel and gold brass sleds each add a surcharge over chrome and black.
Can I use my own fabric?
Yes. A customer's-own-material seat needs 1.7 yd of fabric or 27 sq ft of leather. Contact us to arrange it.
