Seat upholstery. Faux leather is the entry option. PPM-FR is a flame-retardant polyurethane performance leather, velvet and boucle are soft, textured fabrics, and Camira Blazer is a wool contract fabric. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

Leg finishes

MW stands for metal and wood: the Amed+ MW stands on steel legs that are either wrapped in a walnut wood veneer or finished in black powder coat. You get the look of a wood chair with the strength of steel, which is why this is the highest-rated Amed+ dining base at 400 lb and the most budget-friendly one on the page. The wide Amed+ seat is sprung, foam-molded and covered with a removable Velcro slipcover. Use it where a restaurant or a busy household wants warmth, durability and an easy cover change.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.

Steel. The walnut option is steel wrapped in a real walnut veneer, so it looks like wood but has the strength of metal.

Is the cover removable?

Yes. It is a slipcover fastened with Velcro, so it can be taken off and replaced.
