Seat upholstery. Faux leather is the entry option. PPM-FR is a flame-retardant polyurethane performance leather, velvet and boucle are soft, textured fabrics, and Camira Blazer is a wool contract fabric. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

Leg finish

The Amed+ Metal pairs the roomy Amed+ seat with four slim chrome-plated steel legs, so a generous, fully upholstered chair still looks light around a glass or stone table. The legs are capped with plastic tips that protect hard floors and let the chair slide back easily. Under the cover, S-shaped springs sit in a steel frame molded into polyurethane foam, and the slipcover comes off with Velcro for cleaning or replacement. It is a practical choice for kitchens, apartments and cafés that want comfort without visual bulk.

• Chrome is the only leg finish; for black or brass, look at the Amed+ Sled or Amed+ MW.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.

What are the legs made of?

Four chrome-plated steel legs with plastic tips on the feet.

Will it scratch my floor?

The plastic tips keep steel off the floor. On soft wood, add felt pads for extra protection.

How much weight is it rated for?

300 lb. If you need more, the Amed+ MW is rated for 400 lb.

Is the seat bigger than the standard Amed?

Yes. The Amed+ seat is 20 in wide and 18 in deep, roomier than the 17 in Amed.

Why do the prices differ?

The price depends only on the upholstery: faux leather is lowest, PPM-FR, velvet and boucle are mid-priced, and Camira Blazer wool is highest. The chrome legs are standard.

Can the cover be changed later?

Yes. The slipcover is fastened with Velcro, so you can remove it to clean or replace it.
