Seat upholstery. Faux leather is the entry option. PPM-FR is a flame-retardant polyurethane performance leather, velvet and boucle are soft, textured fabrics, and Camira Blazer is a wool contract fabric. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

Base finish

The Amed+ Metal stool puts the generous Amed+ seat on a four-leg base of brushed stainless steel with a footrest, at counter or bar height. Brushed stainless shrugs off shoe scuffs and spills, and it hides fingerprints better than chrome, so it looks right in a working kitchen or a hotel bar. The seat and back are a sprung steel frame molded in polyurethane foam, upholstered with a slipcover that unfastens with Velcro. A clean, Contemporary stool for islands and bars that see real use.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.

Which height should I choose?

Choose Counter (24 in seat) for 35 to 37 in counters and kitchen islands, and Bar (29 in seat) for 40 to 42 in bar tops.

Why brushed stainless steel?

It is solid stainless with a brushed surface that resists corrosion and hides fingerprints and light scratches better than polished chrome.

Is there a footrest?

Yes, a stainless steel footrest is built into the leg frame.

What weight is it rated for?

300 lb at counter or bar height.

Why do the prices differ?

The seat cover sets the price: faux leather is the lowest tier, PPM-FR, velvet and boucle the middle tier, and Camira Blazer wool the highest. Counter and bar heights cost the same.

Can I replace the seat cover later?

Yes. The upholstery is a Velcro-fastened slipcover that can be removed and replaced.
