Base finishes

The Amed Piston puts the Amed seat on a gas-lift swivel base with a round footrest, so one stool adjusts from counter to bar height. It suits kitchens with mixed counter heights, home bars and restaurants that want a single stool for every counter. The seat and back are built on a steel frame with S-shaped springs and molded polyurethane foam, under a removable Velcro-fastened slipcover.

• The 21.5 to 31.5 in seat range covers 35 to 37 in counters and 40 to 42 in bar tops.
• Allow about 24 in of counter edge per stool, a little more so neighbors can swivel.
• The full footrest ring gives a foot rest at every height.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum Camira Era fabric regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.
