Base finishes

The Amed Office puts the Amed seat on a five-star office base with gas height adjustment, full tilt and casters, for a home office, study or conference room that should look like the dining room rather than a cubicle. The seat and back are built on a steel frame with S-shaped springs and molded polyurethane foam, and the upholstery is a removable slipcover held with Velcro.

Planning notes

• The 17.5 to 21.5 in seat range suits a standard 28 to 30 in desk.
• The base is 25.5 to 26 in across; allow about 30 in of clear floor behind the desk to roll back.
• Use a chair mat on soft carpet so the casters roll easily.
• Faux leather and the PPM leathers wipe clean. Camira Era fabric breathes better for long sitting.
• Shipping: in-stock chairs ship in 3 to 5 business days. If your seat and base combination is out of stock or on its way to our warehouse, please allow 10 to 15 weeks for it to ship.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum Camira Era fabric regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.
