Pearls frames two or three opal glass globes inside a slender teardrop of polished brass or nickel. Monika Mulder took her inspiration from jewelry, and the pendant does for a room what a necklace does for its wearer: adds character, flair and a story. Pearls 65 is 26.8" tall with two globes; Pearls 80 is 31.5" tall with three. It is only 3.9" deep, so it reads as a fine drawing in space.

About the designer

Monika Mulder is a Dutch designer based in Gothenburg, Sweden. She studied at the Design Academy Eindhoven, began at IKEA’s design department and opened her own studio in 2007. She sees everything as a composition, likes playful, functional solutions, and her work has won awards including Best Swedish Design and Elle Decoration’s Best Furniture of the Year.
