A 24 in wide, shallow pendant that covers a long table or lobby seating group in one fixture, and it is damp rated for covered outdoor spaces too.

We curate lighting for rooms that have to work hard, and the Swell XL Wide is the broadest shade in the family. At 24 in (61 cm) across and only 14 in (36 cm) tall, it spreads light over a dining table, kitchen island, reception desk or covered terrace without hanging far into the room. The interior is brass-lined for a warm cast, and the replaceable PAR30 LED lamp is dimmable.

Best for / where to use it

• Dining rooms: one Wide over a round or square table, or two over a long rectangular one.
• Kitchen islands: two or three in a row, with the shallow 14 in profile keeping sightlines open.

Installation & planning

• Hardwired by a licensed electrician; the cord is field adjustable up to 10 ft (305 cm), so it suits ceilings of many heights.
• As a planning starting point, hang the bottom of the shade roughly 30 to 36 in (76 to 91 cm) above a tabletop; adjust for the room.
• Over a long table, leave about 6 in (15 cm) of table beyond the shade on each side so it does not look oversized.
• Replace the lamp with a standard E26 PAR30 LED; do not exceed the 13 W rating.
• Pair with a Medium or Narrow Swell where a room needs a second scale, as Pablo designs the sizes to mix.

Who this is not for

• Fully exposed wet locations: the rating is damp, for covered areas.
• Plug-in installs: the pendant is hardwired.
• Low ceilings above walkways: the shade is wide, so keep it above head height.

Frequently asked questions

How many Swell XL Wide pendants should hang over a dining table?

Use one over a table roughly 3 to 4 ft (91 to 122 cm) across, and two spaced evenly over a longer table. Because each shade is 24 in wide, keep a little table surface visible beyond the edges.

Is it safe on a covered porch or patio?

Yes, in covered areas. Pablo rates it damp, which means protected from direct rain. It is not intended for open, fully wet locations.

How long can the hanging cord be?

Up to 10 ft (305 cm). Your electrician trims the cord at installation to suit the ceiling height.

Can I choose a different color temperature?

Pablo's spec sheet lists a single color temperature for the US lamp, 3000K at 95 CRI, with the EU lamp at 2700K. If a project needs something different, contact us before ordering.

Does the pendant meet California energy rules?

Pablo lists the Swell as compliant with California Title 20 and Title 24 and with Dark Sky requirements. Confirm the model you need before ordering for permitted work.

Can I mix it with other Swell sizes?

Yes. Narrow, Medium and Wide shades are designed to hang together in a cluster, and the brass interior stays consistent across sizes.
