A large, even-glow drum pendant that is bright enough to be the main light over a table or a lounge, in two sizes.

We recommend Solis Drum when a room needs a statement fixture that also works hard. An integrated LED behind a dome diffuser fills a laser-cut fabric drum, so you get 2,500 lumens at 24 in (61 cm) or 5,600 lumens at 36 in (91.5 cm) with no visible bulb. It is built for 120-277V, so the same fixture works in homes and commercial projects.

Best for / where to use it

• Dining rooms: one 36 in (91.5 cm) drum over a large table, or a 24 in (61 cm) over a round table.
• Restaurants and cafes: a row of 24 in drums over booths or a banquette.
• Hotel lobbies: a single 36 in drum above a seating group.
• Living rooms and great rooms: as the primary light where there is no recessed grid.
• Offices and meeting rooms: an even, low-glare light above a conference table.

Installation & planning

• Hardwired to a ceiling junction box; plan for an electrician.
• The 10 ft (305 cm) cable can be shortened on site; the maximum drop is 120 in (305 cm).
• Over a table, hang the bottom edge about 30 to 36 in (76 to 91 cm) above the surface and keep the drum narrower than the table by at least 12 in (30 cm) on each side.
• For a row, space 24 in drums about one to one-and-a-half drum widths apart.
• Choose the dimmer type with the project: ELV is supported directly; 0-10V and DALI are available from Pablo on request.

Who this is not for

• Damp, wet or outdoor locations: no such rating is published.
• Light that warms as it dims: the LED is fixed at 2700K.
• Low ceilings: the 36 in (91.5 cm) size is 12 in (30.5 cm) tall plus the drop.

Frequently asked questions

Which size suits a standard 6 ft dining table?

The 24 in (61 cm) drum is the usual match. A 36 in (91.5 cm) drum works over a table that is about 42 in (107 cm) wide or wider.

Which color shows the most light pattern?

White transmits the most pattern from the laser-cut fabric. Silver and Black read darker and more architectural.

Is it bright enough to be the only light in a room?

The 36 in (91.5 cm) version gives 5,600 lm, which is a lot for a single pendant. The 24 in version, at 2,500 lm, is better as one of several sources.

What dimmers work with it?

ELV dimmers work directly across the full range. Pablo offers 0-10V and DALI versions on request, so tell us at quote time.

Can I hang it over a bathtub?

No. Pablo does not publish a damp or wet rating, so we recommend dry indoor rooms only.

How low can it hang?

The cable is 10 ft (305 cm) and field-cuttable, and Pablo's maximum drop is 120 in (305 cm), so you set the height on site.
