The Nora Lighting NX-810 is a Surface Adjustable LED Edge-Lit Exit Sign, AC Only, 6" Letters. Ideal for architectural applications where aesthetic and minimal profile appearance is desired. LED sources within the adjustable housing cast a brilliant red or green illumination on letters embedded inside the acrylic face.

What you need to buy

Power: AC only (no battery): it must be fed from an emergency circuit backed by a generator or central inverter. Input is Dual 120/277VAC, wired from a standard junction box.

Letter color: check your local code before ordering. National model codes allow red or green letters, but some cities and states require a specific color.

Faces: single face reads from one side (wall or end mount facing the corridor); double face reads from both directions (ceiling or end mount across the corridor). Clear acrylic shows the lit letters on a see-through panel; mirrored acrylic gives the panel a reflective finish.

Directional chevrons are set on site. Replacement chevrons are sold separately.

Frequently asked questions

Red or green letters: which does code require?

It depends on your jurisdiction. National model codes allow either color, but some cities and states require a specific one. Check with your local authority having jurisdiction (AHJ), or match the signs already in the building.

What is the difference between AC only, battery backup and 2-circuit?

Battery backup signs carry their own battery for 90 minutes of operation. AC-only signs have no battery and must be on an emergency-backed circuit. 2-circuit signs take a normal and an emergency feed. The NX-810 is AC only (no battery).

Single face or double face?

Use single face where the sign is seen from one direction (wall mount). Use double face when people approach from both sides (ceiling or end mount in a corridor).
