The Nora Lighting NEX-720-LED is an LED Self-Diagnostic Exit & Emergency Sign with Battery Backup & Remote Capability, White Housing. LED exit sign with adjustable dual LED emergency heads. Luminaire is powered by LED sources for maximum life without maintenance. In the event of power loss, both sign and heads will operate for a minimum of 90 minutes. Ideal for egress lighting where splashing, non-corrosive liquids and dripping may occur.

Power: Battery backup: an internal battery keeps it lit for at least 90 minutes when power fails. Input is 120/277V / 120/277VAC, wired from a standard junction box.

Frequently asked questions

Red or green letters: which does code require?

It depends on your jurisdiction. National model codes allow either color, but some cities and states require a specific one. Check with your local authority having jurisdiction (AHJ), or match the signs already in the building.

What is the difference between AC only, battery backup and 2-circuit?

Battery backup signs carry their own battery for 90 minutes of operation. AC-only signs have no battery and must be on an emergency-backed circuit. 2-circuit signs take a normal and an emergency feed. The NEX-720-LED is battery backup.

What does self-diagnostic mean?

The unit tests its own battery, charger and LEDs on a schedule and shows a status light when something needs attention, which cuts down on manual monthly testing.

Where can the NEX-720-LED be installed?

It is wet-location listed and the cold-location version runs in unheated spaces, so covered outdoor and wash-down areas are fine.
