The Nora Lighting NX-603D-LED is a Dual Color LED Exit Sign with Battery Backup, Selectable Red or Green Letters, White Housing. A compact exit sign with dual color LEDs, allows end user to change the color from Red to Green in the field. The exit sign includes a maintenance-free NiCad battery to power the fixture during power loss for 90 minutes on a full charge. LED light sources require no maintenance for 25 years–saving greatly on maintenance and upkeep costs.

Red or green letters: which does code require?

It depends on your jurisdiction. National model codes allow either color, but some cities and states require a specific one. Check with your local authority having jurisdiction (AHJ), or match the signs already in the building.

What is the difference between AC only, battery backup and 2-circuit?

Battery backup signs carry their own battery for 90 minutes of operation. AC-only signs have no battery and must be on an emergency-backed circuit. 2-circuit signs take a normal and an emergency feed. The NX-603D-LED is battery backup.

Where can the NX-603D-LED be installed?

It is damp-location listed. Use a Nora vandal-resistant enclosure where one is linked for wet locations.
