Missoni's Zig Zag Transparent pattern on glass: made for water and soft drinks.
The Missoni Home Zig Zag Transparent water glasses are a set of 6 from Missoni Home's tableware collection, measuring Ø 3.3 x H 4 in (8.4 x 10.2 cm) and holding 11.8 fl oz (350 ml). The Zig Zag line pays homage to the zigzag stitch that made Missoni recognizable worldwide in the 1960s; here the chevron is pressed into coloured glass.

Why we carry it
We've been curating design-led pieces since 2009, and Missoni is one of the few fashion houses whose home collection holds up on its own. The patterns are the same ones the house built its name on, so a single water glass brings the whole Missoni story to the table.
The Missoni story
Ottavio and Rosita Missoni founded Missoni in 1953 in Gallarate, northern Italy, as a small knitwear workshop. Their zigzag and striped knits made the name world-famous in the 1960s. Missoni Home grew out of the family's furnishing fabrics, and Rosita Missoni went on to lead the home collection from the 1990s. Today the tableware is designed in Italy and sold through luxury department stores and design boutiques worldwide.
Worth the investment
Brought out twice a week for ten years, $395 comes to about $0.38 per use (our math), for pieces that stay in the family.
Buy once: durability and care
The distributor lists it as dishwasher safe. Place glasses so they don't touch, and avoid sudden temperature changes (our advice).
