It takes an E12 Candelabra bulb up to 60W. A 2700K to 3000K LED bulb keeps a hallway, living room or bedroom warm; 3500K reads crisper on a stairway. Where it works best

In a hallway or living room, center each sconce at roughly eye level, about 5 ft 6 in (168 cm) up, with 8 to 10 ft between fixtures. Next to a bed, place it 2 to 2.5 ft over the mattress top so the light falls on a book. On a stairway, keep each sconce the same height above the treads. Either side of a bathroom mirror, mount them at about eye level, 36 to 40 in apart, for even light on the face.

Who this is not for

It is damp rated, so a bathroom or covered porch is fine, but not a spot exposed to rain or shower spray. Bulbs are sold separately.
