Sky LED White Glass Flush Mount, 23.5 to 48 in, 3 Finishes, by Maxim

The Maxim Sky flush mount is a contemporary fixture sized for a hallway, a bedroom, a closet, a kitchen or a laundry room. It comes in widths from 23.5 to 48 in, with built-in LED, in Bronze, White or Brushed Aluminum.

The LED is built in, so there are no bulbs to buy or replace, and it delivers 3800 lumens at 3000K. Maxim rates it for ELV at 120V dimming. White glass softens the light and cuts glare at eye level. Choose Bronze, White or Brushed Aluminum to match hardware, faucets or cabinet pulls in the room; it suits Contemporary schemes. JA8 listed for California Title 24 projects.

Where it works best

A flush mount sits tight to the ceiling, so it suits ceilings of 8 ft and lower, where a hanging fixture would cut into headroom. For a room, add its length and width in feet; the total in inches is a good diameter (a 10 x 12 ft bedroom takes about a 22 in fixture). A hallway or closet usually needs 11 to 14 in; in a long hallway, space fixtures about 8 to 10 ft apart.

Who this is not for

It is damp rated, so a covered porch or bathroom is fine, but not a spot exposed to rain.

Why we carry Maxim

Maxim matches its finishes across collections, so a chandelier, its pendants and its sconces read as one scheme. That is how we build a room around one fixture.

Care and installation

Dust with a soft, dry cloth; clean glass with a lint-free cloth and glass cleaner, with the power off. A qualified electrician should make the connection. Assembly sheets: 57762 (PDF), 57772 (PDF), 57764 (PDF), 57774 (PDF).

Frequently asked questions

What size room is the Sky flush mount right for?

The 23.5 in size suits a room of about 12 x 10 ft, a hallway or a closet; the 48 in size suits a room of about 26 x 21 ft.

Will it work with a low ceiling?

Yes. It is 0.75 in (1.9 cm) tall at most, so on an 8 ft ceiling it leaves about 95.25 in of clearance below.

Does it need special bulbs, and can it dim?

No bulbs needed; the LED is built in. It dims with elv at 120v dimmers.

Can I use it in a bathroom or on a porch?

Yes, in a bathroom away from direct spray or on a covered porch. It is damp rated.
