Regalia 3-Light Flush Mount, 20 in, Gold Leaf, by Maxim

The Maxim Regalia flush mount is a transitional fixture sized for a hallway, a bedroom, a closet, a kitchen or a laundry room. It comes at 20 in (50.8 cm) wide, with 3 lights, in Gold Leaf.

Each socket takes an E12 Candelabra bulb up to 60W. A 2700K to 3000K LED bulb keeps a bedroom or hallway warm; 3500K to 4000K suits a kitchen, laundry room or closet. Maxim rates it for Triac or ELV dimming. The Gold Leaf finish fits Transitional schemes.

Where it works best

A flush mount sits tight to the ceiling, so it suits ceilings of 8 ft and lower, where a hanging fixture would cut into headroom. For a room, add its length and width in feet; the total in inches is a good diameter (a 10 x 12 ft bedroom takes about a 22 in fixture). A hallway or closet usually needs 11 to 14 in; in a long hallway, space fixtures about 8 to 10 ft apart.

Who this is not for

It is damp rated, so a covered porch or bathroom is fine, but not a spot exposed to rain. Bulbs are sold separately. At up to 11 in tall, it sits lower than a slim flush mount; on a ceiling under 8 ft, pick a shallower model.

Why we carry Maxim

Maxim matches its finishes across collections, so a chandelier, its pendants and its sconces read as one scheme. That is how we build a room around one fixture.

Care and installation

Dust with a soft, dry cloth. A qualified electrician should make the connection.

Frequently asked questions

What size room is the Regalia flush mount right for?

The 20 in size suits a room of about 11 x 9 ft, a hallway or a closet.

Will it work with a low ceiling?

Yes. It is 11 in (27.9 cm) tall at most, so on an 8 ft ceiling it leaves about 85 in of clearance below.

Does it need special bulbs, and can it dim?

It takes E12 Candelabra bulbs up to 60W, sold separately. It dims with triac or elv dimmers.

Can I use it in a bathroom or on a porch?

Yes, in a bathroom away from direct spray or on a covered porch. It is damp rated.
