Where it works best
A flush mount sits tight to the ceiling, so it suits ceilings of 8 ft and lower, where a hanging fixture would cut into headroom. For a room, add its length and width in feet; the total in inches is a good diameter (a 10 x 12 ft bedroom takes about a 22 in fixture). A hallway or closet usually needs 11 to 14 in; in a long hallway, space fixtures about 8 to 10 ft apart.
Who this is not for
It is dry rated, so it is not for a shower area, an uncovered porch or other damp spots. Bulbs are sold separately. At up to 14 in tall, it sits lower than a slim flush mount; on a ceiling under 8 ft, pick a shallower model.
